What training and courses does adini offer?

We offer:

• The 3-year training to become a nursing professional (generalist training)

• The 1.5-year training to become a nursing assistant

• The AZAV-certified further training as a nursing assistant (basic nursing certificate) as well as coaching

• Language support programs and integration assistance for international trainees

What does “AZAV certified” mean?

AZAV stands for "Accreditation and Admission Regulation for Employment Promotion." AZAV-certified training providers are recognized and approved by the Federal Employment Agency or the job center. Their continuing education programs can thus be funded through training vouchers or activation and placement vouchers (AVGS). AZAV certification also ensures that the continuing education programs and other labor market policy measures meet certain quality standards. It is therefore proof of the performance, reliability, and quality of a training provider and represents an important seal of quality.

How are classes organized at Adini?

Classes take place in our brand-new, modern, and centrally located classrooms in Berlin. We utilize VR headsets, smartboards, simulation rooms, and digital learning platforms, among other things. We also utilize blended learning, which supplements face-to-face instruction with digital learning opportunities. This creates an effective and flexible learning environment for our students.

How does the application process work?

You can apply online using our application form . Typically, you'll need a high school diploma, a resume, and, if applicable, proof of German language skills (at least B2 level for nursing training). What job prospects do I have after completing my nursing training?

The chances of finding employment are excellent! The demand for nursing staff is very high in Berlin and throughout Germany. We actively support and accompany you as you enter your career, thanks in part to our close collaborations with renowned healthcare and nursing facilities.

How are the training courses at adini structured?

Our nursing training programs are structured as a dual program. This means that theoretical and practical instruction takes place at our academy. Practical placements, however, must be completed in a training company, such as a healthcare or care facility (hospital, clinic, nursing home, etc.). You must sign a training contract with this company before beginning your training. We are happy to advise you on this and other topics.

Who pays for nursing school?

In Germany, training to become a qualified nurse and a nursing assistant is financed through compensation funds into which hospitals and nursing facilities contribute. Nursing training is therefore free of charge for trainees, meaning they are not permitted to incur any additional costs for tuition fees or teaching and learning materials.

How much do the training courses cost?

The training programs for nursing professionals and nursing assistants are tuition-free in Germany, meaning there are no fees for the theoretical and practical training at our academy. In addition, trainees receive training remuneration from the company where they complete their practical placements.

How many vacation days do I have during my training?

The exact number of vacation days is specified in the training contract and may also be regulated by collective bargaining agreements. Nursing schools in Berlin are not bound by general school holidays, so vacation must be coordinated individually with the training company.

How much money do you earn during nursing training?

The amount of training remuneration generally depends on the year of training and can vary depending on the training company. Nursing trainees generally earn slightly more than nursing assistant trainees in Berlin.

Overall, training remuneration in the nursing sector is among the highest and significantly exceeds the average for most other training occupations.

Am I allowed to work while undergoing training?

A part-time job during nursing training/further education in Berlin is generally permitted, as long as the legal and contractual requirements are met and the training/further education remains the primary focus. A part-time job must not interfere with learning progress or attendance requirements.

If the continuing education program is funded through a training voucher or other funding, additional employment may affect eligibility for funding or benefit receipt. Consultation with the funding agency is recommended in this case.

Do I have to have completed an internship before starting my training?

While internship certificates are not mandatory for applying for an apprenticeship at adini, we strongly recommend them. An internship or voluntary social year (FSJ) in the health/care or social services sector is important to ensure that you, as an applicant, have a realistic assessment of the nursing profession and have the necessary personal aptitude.

When do the next courses start?

adini's training courses start on April 1 and October 1 of each year. Applications are accepted continuously.

The founders and managing directors, Güllü Kuzu and Songül Ataman, have many years of experience and extensive expertise in the care and education sectors. They also have strong industry connections – at the state, national, and international levels. Our team consists of experienced and highly qualified employees, whether in school management, as teachers, in marketing, or as administrative staff.

Are there any funding opportunities or support for financing other courses?

Yes, there are various funding options for our courses, such as BAföG (Federal Training Assistance Act) or support from the Federal Employment Agency. We would be happy to advise you individually on your options.

What languages are spoken at the school?

Classes are held in German. For international trainees, we offer language support during their training (e.g., German for nursing professions). Our team also speaks English, Turkish, Portuguese, and Spanish and can support you in these languages as well, if needed.
